In 2008, PLASCO delivered its first PET bristle monofilament extrusion line to South America, partnering with one of Colombia’s leading cleaning product manufacturers. Their product rangeo includes household essentials such as brooms, brushes, and related tools—trusted by homes across the region.

From PCB to PLC: A Modernization Journey

For over a decade, the line operated with remarkable stability, supporting consistent quality and efficiency. However, the original control system was based on PCB boards, which are no longer available on the market.To safeguard production continuity and elevate performance, PLASCO designed and delivered a comprehensive modernization solution—upgrading from PCB to l to a state-of-the-art PLC system with updated an updated HMI and newly developed software.

Sustainable Renewal for Long-Term Value

This was more than a technical upgrade: it was a sustainable renewal. By revitalizing an existing production line rather than replacing it, the customer extended the useful life of their investment, reduced waste, and avoided the environmental impact of scrapping and rebuilding equipment. Every component was preassembled and shipped in advance, enabling our engineering team to complete a seamless on-site retrofit, including full rewiring, PLC installation, and system integration.
